Colleges and departments must use the university's content management system (CMS). Campus organizations and individuals may create and publish their own web pages or use the CMS.
In 2011, Kansas State University purchased OmniUpdate to serve as the university Content Management System (CMS). This tool enables academic departments, administrative offices, university programs and student organizations to easily create and modify websites in accordance with university branding efforts.
Individuals and campus organizations can use the CMS but they can also create and publish their own web pages. The Office of Mediated Education can assist in design and hosting websites for organizations.
