Understanding Personality Types in the Workplace through MBTI

The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) instrument provides a great opportunity for individuals to understand themselves and how they interact with others.  Participants can learn about their personal preferences and become familiar with personality types through group interaction or through a personal coaching session.

Learning objectives in a group interaction typically include:

  • Learn about differences in preferences for being energized, gathering information, making decisions, and orienting or relating to the outside world.
  • Understand how personal preferences contribute to your leadership effectiveness and to appreciate and capitalize on personal strengths and strengths of others.
  • Learn to develop, enhance, or find ways to compensate for those areas that individuals may overlook or those that do not come easily or naturally.

Benefits of the MBTI instrument can assist with understanding team dynamics, conflict management, change management, communication, problem solving, and more.  Fees may vary depending on session variables.  To discuss the scheduling of a group interaction or coaching session utilizing MBTI, please contact Shanna Legleiter, certified MBTI facilitator, at legleiters@ksu.edu.
