Working With Industry Boot Camp Orientation

Why Industry-University Partnerships Are Important for K-State

As state support of higher education declines, research universities across the country are devoting more time to industry partnerships as a means of replacing public support. While industry has always seen higher education as a valuable source of talent, a growing number of corporations are turning to academia to enhance their research and innovation efforts. Enhancing industry engagement is a common thread that weaves throughout the K-State 2025 action and implantation plans. The WWIBC Orientation speakers shared information on how corporate partnerships will play a significant role in achieving K-State's vision to be a top 50 public research university by 2025.
