Open enrollment extended through Nov. 5

Submitted by HCS-Benefits

Due to ongoing network negotiations between Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas and Lawrence Memorial Hospital, the State Employee Health Plan has approved a one-time open enrollment deadline extension to Friday, Nov. 5.

Although this provides benefits-eligible employees five additional business days to complete their 2022 benefits enrollment, we strongly encourage completion as early as possible. As a reminder, all employees may make changes to their 2022 enrollments throughout the entire open enrollment period. If you have not yet completed your enrollment, now is the time to do so. This extension is the result of unique circumstances and is unlikely to be extended or offered in future years.

K-State faculty and staff residing in Douglas and adjacent counties should have received direct communication regarding the ongoing negotiations from both the state of Kansas and K-State.

Don't let any unanswered questions prevent you from completing your 2022 enrollment. Please reach out to your HCS benefits team at benefits@k-state.edu for assistance and support.
