Connections to K-State's e-mail services made via POP, IMAP and authenticated SMTP by third party clients such as Mac Mail, Outlook, and Thunderbird are currently receiving certificate errors. If you ALLOW this exception, you can continue to work with your e-mail. This problem is currently being addressed and will be resolved shortly. Webmail is not currently affected by this issue.
K-State Online has been experiencing intermittent slowness beginning the morning of Saturday, November 7, and this has continued to occur periodically. Staff are working to address the issue. The Recent Activity feature on the Course Organizer has been temporarily disabled. This feature will be restored as soon as possible.
To report a service outage, contact the IT Help Desk.K-State Zimbra will receive a new security certificate Tuesday morning, November 17, between 1 a.m. and 3 a.m., during this time K-State Zimbra may not be available as the new security certificate is applied.
Note: Please restart your computer if you experience network connectivity issues after you receive the upgrade. More than one restart may be required to complete the Trend Micro upgrade.
Trend Micro version 8 will be updated to version 10 for the central campus Trend Micro environment. This environment includes the clients downloaded from antivirus.k-state.edu. This upgrade offers support for Windows 7 and Server 2008. The new client offers the same interface, however the tray icon may change depending on the scan type. Both the old dark blue Trend icon and the new light blue icon are acceptable.
