CUPA-HR Kansas chapter call for proposals
The Kansas chapter of the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, or KSCUPA-HR, seeks proposals for the 2017 annual conference scheduled for Nov. 8-9 at the K-State Alumni Center.
The chapter exists to promote excellence through collaboration among human resource professionals at institutions of higher education in the state of Kansas. This year's conference theme, "Diversity & Inclusion," will provide numerous networking and developmental opportunities to engage with human resource professionals around the state and beyond.
The chapter encourages submissions from K-State faculty and staff who may contribute to successful work lives of the human resources profession. Examples include economic impact on today's workforce, generational differences, wellness programming, streamlining methodology and techniques, financial forecasting, data analytics, conflict resolution, legislative impacts, diversity and inclusion initiatives and change management.
The chapter seeks presentations that can enrich and advance the human resource profession through best practices and cutting-edge solutions. Presentation categories include compensation; diversity, equity and inclusion; talent acquisition/recruiting; benefits; learning and development; employee relations; compliance/legal; and hr best practices.
Conference proposals will be accepted through June 16 via the proposal form. Questions may be directed to Shanna Legleiter, director of Learning and Development and KSCUPA-HR president-elect, at legleiters@k-state.edu.
