Military affairs executive director invited to participate in National Veterans Convening in Washington, D.C.

Retired Lt. Col. Art DeGroat, executive director of military and veterans affairs, has been invited by the George W. Bush Institute to participate in the National Veterans Convening on Friday, June 23, in Washington, D.C.  

This convening aims to identify strategic moves needed to better support the transition and reintegration of Post-9/11 era veterans back into the workforce and society after their service.

DeGroat is recognized nationally for his expertise in research and practice of veterans' transition and recently presented his latest study findings to the office of the U.S. secretary of defense. DeGroat will participate in several roundtable sessions with the event's host, former President George W. Bush.
