Facilities storeroom offers free COVID-19 PPE supplies for K-State units
Submitted by Division of Communications and Marketing
The Division of Facilities is Kansas State University's central source for COVID-19-related personal protective equipment supplies.
The Division of Facilities storeroom can provide the following supplies to K-State faculty and staff free of charge:
- Masks, including N95 masks. Health care providers recommend using more effective masks, including KN95, N95 or surgical masks. Read about more effective masks and ways to improve how your mask protects you.
- Face shields.
- Disinfecting supplies, including wipes and disinfectant spray.
- Nitrile gloves.
- Hand sanitizer.
These PPE supplies are provided free of charge to the university because of federal funds. The funds have been allocated centrally by the university to ensure access to PPE supplies and to monitor inventory levels.
Units should only request enough supplies to cover one- or two-months' needs to ensure that supplies are equitably distributed.
PPE items purchased through other sources will not be eligible for reimbursement.
For more information or to place PPE orders, contact Shannon Ruder, storeroom manager, at 785-532-2049 or storeroom@k-state.edu.
