Hackenberg named director of Administrative Support Center
Colleen Hackenberg has been named director of the Administrative Support Center following a national search. Hackenberg has served as the acting director since August 2021.
As director, Hackenberg will provide oversight and direction to the center, including managing the daily activities of the financial and human resource teams. This university shared services center provides budget, financial and administrative human resource services to central administrative units. Currently, the center supports departments reporting to the president's office, provost's office and several of the vice presidents' offices.
Hackenberg has more than 20 years of experience working at Kansas State University, including positions within the Division of Financial Services and Biosecurity Research Institute. She joined the Administrative Support Center in 2017 as a business manager. Hackenberg has experience with administrative leadership, human resource operations and preparing departmental budgets. She holds a bachelor's degree in management and ethics from Manhattan Christian College.
