Submitted by Brenee King

Research and conference grants are now available through the Office of Undergraduate Research & Creative Inquiry, or OURCI. Undergraduate students from all disciples who are in good academic standing are encouraged to apply for these opportunities.

Students can be starting or currently participating in a faculty-lead research project. Grant recipients will be asked to participate in the universitywide research symposium during spring 2021.

For research grants, applications must include a research abstract and a letter of recommendation from the faculty mentor. Research awards are set for $500. The deadline for applications is Oct. 16. More information can be found at bit.ly/F20research.

Conference grants are available to students who plan to present their research at a virtual conference this fall or spring semester. Applications are now open and being accepted on a rolling basis. Students will need to submit a copy of the abstract from their conference along with a letter of recommendation from their faculty mentor. Conference grants are set at $250. More information can be found at bit.ly/OURCIconF20.
