Learn more about intercultural leadership at KSUnite

Submitted by KSUnite Planning Team

According to "Diversity's Promise for Higher Education" by Daryl Smith, originally published in 2009, "People from different backgrounds bring with them different networks, connections, and associations with communities. Although communities can overlap, and people express their identities in many different ways, identity tends to bring with it networks of people. These networks can increase the campus’s social and cultural capital."

As part KSUnite: Moving Forward Together on Wednesday, Nov. 6, two breakout sessions will focus on intercultural leadership.

  • "Leading Across Difference," presented by Aliah Mestrovich Seay, instructor, 4-H Youth Development; and Mac Benevides, doctoral student in leadership communication.
