October is enrollment period for voluntary life insurance plans

Submitted by Human Capital Services

Open enrollment for voluntary life insurance plans is from Oct. 1-31, with an effective coverage start date of Jan. 1, 2020. These optional plans do not require re-enrollment each year.

Two plans are available for optional life insurance coverage. Both plans, Optional Group Life through The Standard and Teachers & Employees Association, or TEA, through The Hartford are available to all benefit-eligible employees. In addition to optional life insurance, TEA also has voluntary short-term disability and accidental death/dismemberment insurance policies available. Both optional life plans have coverage available for the employee, spouse and dependent children.

More information can be found at the Human Capital Services — Open Enrollment webpage.

Your HCS benefits team will continue to update you and provide information during the month of October. Watch your K-State email and K-State Today with more information.
