Jerry Jay Cranford featured speaker for What Matters to Me and Why series

Submitted by Kerry Priest

Jerry Jay Cranford, assistant professor in the School of Music, Theatre, and Dance, will be the featured speaker for the November What Matters to Me and Why speaker series.

This informal lunchtime series is designed to encourage reflection within the K-State community on matters of personal values, beliefs and motivations in order to better understand the lives and inspirations of those who serve and shape the university.

Cranford will share stories of his personal journey in a talk titled "From Small Town to Broadway and Back Again" from noon to 1 p.m. Nov. 9 in Town Hall at the Leadership Studies Building.

A free box lunch will be provided starting at 11:45 a.m.

An RSVP is requested by Nov. 7. Visit k-state.edu/leadership/events/journeys.html to read full event description and sign up.

The purpose of the What Matters to Me and Why series is to build and strengthen bonds between people who teach, learn and work together daily, and to foster understanding of how each of us embraces our values and K-State's Principles of Community. The event is co-sponsored by the Staley School of Leadership Studies, College of Education, and the President's Committee on Religion.
