Mailing on Campus

Meter Codes for the Office of the Registrar include:

  • Office of the Registrar - 197
  • Transcript Department - 200

The correct mailing address should include, in this order:

  1. Your department name
  2. Kansas State University
  3. Room & Building Name
  4. Manhattan, KS 66506 & your departmental ZIP + 4

International Mail

  1. Separate letters from packages. There is a 4 pound weight limit on first class and printed matter. Heavier mail must go Parcel Post and requires a customs form.
  2. Identify Foreign Mail as AIR or SURFACE by writing or stamping.
  3. Include meter code on letter or package.

Special Handling Mail

  1. Priority Mail - not guaranteed, cannot be traced. This means “special handling” separate than First Class Mail. It will not take over 3 days, most of the time overnight if delivering in Kansas. Include Office of the Registrar meter code.

Overnight Service

  1. Express Mail - is guaranteed overnight through the U.S. Post Office. If overnight service is requested and only a Post Office Box number is available, we use this service. Express Mail can be traced and needs to have an Office of the Registrar Express Mail account number on it.
  2. Federal Express - is guaranteed overnight, and a street address must be used. Federal Express can be traced. Express is picked up by a scheduled courier and must have the Registrar’s Office Federal Express account number on it.
