Get help with IT

  • IT Service Desk: Get help with K-State technology, services and accounts. Contact the Service Desk :
  • Knowledge Base: Search how-to articles, instructions and answers to common technology questions.
  • IT Service Catalog: Browse K-State IT services and find information about available technology, support and service options.
  • Status of IT Services: Check the current status of K-State IT services, including outages, service disruptions and planned maintenance.

Getting connected

  • eID and passwords: Your K-State eID is your electronic identifier used to access university systems and services. Find information about managing your eID, changing your password and getting help with your account.
  • Wireless networks: Connect your computer, phone and other devices to K-State wireless networks on campus and in the residence halls. Guest wireless access is also available for campus visitors.
  • eduroam: Secure international roaming service that allows users from other eduroam-enabled institutions to securely access K-State's wireless network using credentials from their home institution.
  • VPN: Use K-State’s Virtual Private Network (VPN) to securely access university systems and resources that require a K-State network connection when you are off campus.

Software and technology

  • Microsoft 365: Access Microsoft productivity and collaboration tools available through K-State, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneDrive, Teams and other Microsoft 365 applications.
  • Adobe Creative Cloud: Adobe Creative Cloud licenses are free for K-State faculty and staff. View the Downloading Adobe Create Cloud Suite knowledge base article for step-by-step instructions. If county-paid extension employees and K-State student employees require access to perform their job duties, licenses may be requested.
  • Web conferencing: Connect and collaborate online using K-State-supported web conferencing tools, including Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
  • Software: Find software available free or at a reduced cost to eligible K-State students, faculty and staff.
  • Computer labs: Find computer labs and technology available for use on campus.
  • Printing on campus: Print from university computers or personal devices using K-State’s campus printing services.
  • IT Equipment checkout: Borrow technology and equipment available for checkout through K-State.
  • Technology recommendations: Find recommended computer specifications and other information to consider when purchasing technology for use at K-State.

  • Duo: K-State’s two-factor authentication service adds an extra layer of security when signing in to university systems.
  • Phishing scams: Learn how to recognize phishing and other scams. Report suspected phishing messages to abuse@k-state.edu.
  • Antivirus software: Find information about K-State’s antivirus requirements and antivirus software available for university and personal computers.
