Dwarf Maiden Grass, Miscanthus Sinensis ‘Yaku Jima’

Example of Yaku Jima

These plants had a leg up on some of the others in the trial because they arrived in 2 gallon pots with a year of growth already. As a dwarf Miscanthus, this variety should stay fairly compact, but it ended up as one of the taller Miscanthus in this trial after the second year.

In the second season the plants were just covered in blooms in September. Overall great growth from this variety.
