Arrest made in connection to reports of shots fired near campus

Local law enforcement agencies, including K-State Police, were notified of shots fired from a vehicle at approximately 2:30 a.m. May 5 at North Manhattan and Anderson streets near the Manhattan campus. Another report was received of shots fired at Claflin Road and College Avenue. A third report from Jardine Apartments was determined to be related to the Claflin and College report.

Based on descriptions provided by witnesses, the individuals were detained at an entrance to Fort Riley. The Riley County Police Department made an arrest in the incident. There is no ongoing threat to the campus.
