KSDB hosting a week's worth of events

Submitted by Lucas Peterson

K-State's student-run radio station, 91.9 KSDB, is hosting a monthlong fundraiser, Make It Rain.

This week will feature a fun event each day for the public to take part in. If you wish to donate to the station go to www.gofundme.com/KSDBFM.

Starting April 17, a Classroom Series will feature bands Tyto Alba and La Guerre from Denver and Lawrence, respectively. The live performances start at 7 p.m. in KSDB's McCain Auditorium main studios. Listen on the radio, download the Wildcat 91.9 free mobile app, or stream online.

On Tuesday April 18, an Open Mic Talent Show will be from noon to 1 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 in KSDB's K-State Student Union satellite studio. The studio is on the ground floor of the Union and anyone can compete. Come sing, play an instrument, or even do comedy. Participants will earn a chance to win concert tickets and merchandise.

KSDB Field Day will be noon to 4 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, on Anderson Lawn. Play sports, drink lemonade and enjoy the spring weather on the lawn.

At 7 p.m. Friday, April 21, a Classroom Series will feature the band High Westhus, from Kansas City. Listen live on the radio, online, or download KSDB's Wildcat 91.9 free mobile app.

To end the week, a 24-hour Vinylthon will be from 9 p.m. Friday, April 21, to 9 p.m. Saturday, April 22. KSDB will play vinyls and host live DJs for a continuous 24 hours. Be sure to listen live to some classic vinyls.
