Ashley Blake named advisor training administrator

The Academic and Career Engagement unit in the Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs announces that Ashley Blake has been selected as the inaugural advisor training administrator at K-State. 

Blake is currently an academic advisor for K-State Online students in nutrition and health, a position she has held for 11 years. She has been an excellent contributor to advising practices at K-State, including the creation of the Advisor Communication Timeline, which provides timely communication campaigns and templates for students and is used by more than 50 K-State advisors. Blake is part of the Navigate Engagement Team and is the creator and editor of the WorldWide Wildcats newsletter for online students.

As the Advisor Training Administrator, Blake will be responsible for developing training systems and programs for new and existing advisors to ensure they are well-equipped with the skills, knowledge and tools to effectively support and guide students in their academic and career pursuits. Planning and designing the biannual Advising Institutes will also be under her purview.

Blake holds a Bachelor of Science in sociology and a Master of Science in academic advising, both from Kansas State University.
