New Canvas integration for course reserves coming soon

Submitted by Cailin Wycoff

Later this year, K-State instructors will be able to use the integration of course reserves in Canvas to improve student access to course materials.

The integration, which will go live on Aug. 1, will allow students to access required and suppletory course materials in one spot by showing all items on reserve for a particular class code. The integration also allows instructors the opportunity to more easily evaluate what resources K-State Libraries has to offer students — any instructor who uses or would like to use course reserves can take advantage of this service.

"This integration allows students a better chance of learning about the resources available to them without the guesswork," said Mellissa Polston, instructor. "We believe that a centralized location will improve student use of resources that will increase overall academic success."

Instructors may submit materials for course reserves by filling out the online request form. Any questions about the new integration or course reserves process can be directed to haleres@k-state.edu
