Annual emergency light testing for Nichols and Thompson halls

Submitted by James Seymour

Annual emergency light testing will take place from 4-7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 19, at Nichols Hall and Thompson Hall. The tests will run concurrently with Thompson Hall starting first.

The test will consist of turning off circuit breakers that provide power to emergency lighting fixtures. The entire building will not lose power, only specific circuits will be affected. Any electrical devices on these circuits will lose power during the test. The testing is scheduled from 4-7 a.m. to minimize disruption for building users. Normal power should be restored no later than 7 a.m.
