Legislative Update

This week is the final week of the regular Kansas legislative session, with first adjournment scheduled for Friday, April 1. The legislative veto session will convene April 25. Action this week will focus on conference committee meetings to discuss the bills that have been amended by the House or Senate to find agreement to pass the bills and send to the governor for consideration. The Fiscal Conference Committee will meet this week to achieve agreement on final passage of the state budget for fiscal year 2023 and beyond.

The Kansas Legislature will provide virtual access to committee meetings and floor action throughout the 2022 legislative session. Links to access the meetings can be found at kslegislature.org/li.

The Office of Government Relations will provide virtual weekly Legislative Updates through the remainder of the Legislative session, which is scheduled to adjourn in early May. The updates will be from noon to 1 p.m. on Fridays via Zoom.
