KWRI calls for water researchers to submit proposals for national grant awards

Submitted by Melissa Harvey

The Kansas Water Resources Institute, or KWRI, is requesting proposals for U.S. Geological Survey funding. These three national competitive grant opportunities are part of the Water Resources Research Act Program.

Successful proposals should focus on interstate or regional water problems and issues. Projects may be for one to three years in duration, with a request of up to $250,000 in federal funds. An institutional match is required. All Kansas proposals should be submitted to the institute no later than April 26.

More information about research priorities for these grants and submission requirements can be found on the Kansas Water Resources Insitute website.
