Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab now offering media studio and equipment checkout

Submitted by Cailin Riley

The Sunderland Foundation Innovation Lab on the first and second floors of Hale Library has opened the media studio and equipment checkout.

The media studio on the first floor of the lab offers large format scanners, digital audio/video conversion and six multimedia workstations including both Mac and PC computers. The media studio also provides color printing.

Equipment checkout on the second floor offers laptops, projectors and tripods. Knowledgeable staff members are available on each floor to answer questions and provide support. The Innovation Lab is open to all K-State faculty, staff and students.

The remainder of the Innovation Lab will open in phases and is scheduled to be fully open in the fall. Additional features and services will include an artificial intelligence lab, maker spaces, video production studios, a sound studio, a virtual reality room and more.

The Innovation Lab, open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, is a partnership between K-State Libraries and the Division of Information Technology.
