Student Access Center student shuttle service ending

Submitted by Jason Maseberg-Tomlinson

As you prepare to enroll students this summer, the Student Access Center is here to assist you and your students. Please let us know if you have questions about working with students with disabilities, or if you want to share any concerns and questions students may have.

The center is sad to announce that it will no longer have its golf cart shuttle service for students with temporary injuries or physical disabilities. While this is the end of a long-standing program, we have been working with aTa for many years and their services can meet the needs of our students. Look over the Parking Shuttle Information regarding Park 'n' Ride or aTa's area bus maps for students who live off-campus. Share these with students so that they are aware. aTa is wheelchair accessible. They also have demand response services for people with disabilities who live away from the established routes and stops.

During the summer, we will be working remotely. If you have a question for staff, you can email accesscenter@k-state.edu or find our access advisors on Teams or Zoom. We would be happy to meet with you.

Thank you for all you do in assisting students and being mindful of the needs of those with disabilities.
