Essential personnel only; most campus buildings locked

Submitted by Cindy Bontrager

Effective March 21, most campus buildings are locked and only accessible by essential personnel who have been identified by their deans and unit heads.

The Polytechnic and Olathe campus buildings will be closed and only accessible by their essential staff.

The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory is in normal operations and the Veterinary Health Center is only receiving emergency patients.

Lafene Health Center remains open with limited operations.

Core campus buildings that will remain open during the workweek are Anderson Hall and Unger Complex to allow essential staff to perform necessary business activities, Edwards Hall west entrance for access to public safety and Dkystra Hall for mail services and essential facilities employees. Cardwell Hall, Fairchild Hall, McCain Auditorium, Nichols Hall and Willard Hall will be open through March 27 to accommodate students who need to pick up projects and supplies.

Security staff will continue their duties each night walking through buildings.

Limited Division of Facilities services will be provided during this period of reduced operations.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during these unprecedented times.
