New members selected to serve as Pre-Law Ambassadors

Submitted by Miranda Moore

Eight new pre-law students have been selected to represent K-State's Pre-Law Ambassadors program. The organization's main responsibilities include hosting the all-university law fair in the fall and planning various events throughout the school year to educate pre-law students, enrich the academic atmosphere of the community and facilitate positive networking experiences.

The Pre-Law Ambassador organization formed in fall 2015 and selected students each spring to become new ambassadors. Every year, the application pool grows more competitive, which is a testament to the strong pre-law community that resides on campus. The selected students completed a written application and interview process with Daralyn Gordon Arata, the advisor, and current the Pre-Law Ambassadors present.

The following students are new Pre-Law Ambassadors:

Marley Barnett, sophomore in anthropology, Coffeyville; Katherine Schmitt, sophomore in business management, Great Bend; Mallory Williams, junior in political science, Halstead; Elizabeth Patton, freshman in open-option, Lawrence; Zachary Galyon, sophomore in political science, Lyons; Ashley McCall, junior in philosophy, Topeka; and Hunter Johnson, sophomore in agricultural economics, Washington.

From out of state:

Keiteyana Parks, junior in psychology and sociology, Lincoln, Nebraska.

If interested in declaring pre-law, please contact the Office of Pre-Law Advising in 215 Fairchild or call 785-532-3426 to set up an appointment with the advisor.
