Graduate student oral and poster forum today in K-State Student Union

Submitted by Kelsey Peterson

Research and scholarly work will be presented by more than 80 graduate students to the campus and community at the 22nd annual K-State Graduate Research, Arts, and Discovery, GRAD, Forum.

The forum will be from 9:15 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, March 30, in the K-State Student Union. The event is free and open to the public.

This on-campus event provides graduate students from all disciplines an opportunity to share their work with the K-State community and to gain experience presenting their work in a professional setting. The forum will include oral presentations and poster presentations from research topics including engineering, social sciences, humanities, education, agricultural sciences, math, physical sciences, biological sciences and interdisciplinary research. You can download the event schedule and the program booklet on the Graduate School website.

University faculty judges will select the top presenters in each session. An awards ceremony will start at approximately 4:30 p.m. in the Big 12 Room of the K-State Student Union, which will include a special presentation from Sarah Hancock, communications coordinator for the Office of Vice President for Research.

The forum is sponsored by the Graduate School, the Graduate Student Council, and the offices of the President and Provost.

More information about the forum and a program schedule is available online.
