Military spouses: Register today for a program especially for you

Submitted by Emily Mailey

The K-State kinesiology department is seeking participants for an innovative health and wellness research program designed especially for Fort Riley military spouses. The program, InDependent But Not Alone: A Journey to Finding Balance for Military Spouses, is open to all military spouses.

The free program starts Saturday, April 9, with a kick-off party at Orange Sky Yoga in Manhattan. This is a 10-week Web-based program that encourages spouses to prioritize their own health and well-being. We conceptualize health broadly to include emotional and social well-being as well as health behaviors such as physical activity, diet and stress management.

Fort Riley spouses can register online. This page includes a link to our FAQ if you would like more information about the program. Please share with other military spouses who may be interested in participating!
