Mid-semester support to help students stay on track

Friday, April 4, 2025

The spring semester is quickly coming to an end, but it's still important to focus on what remains to be done to finish the semester strong. The Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs can help cut through the noise and discover practical ways to focus on life in and out of the classroom.

The Academic Achievement Center is free for all enrolled students and provides individualized academic support. Check out academic coaching for help developing skills like better note taking or time management. Take advantage of content or study skills tutoring in Tutoring Services' new location in Hale Library. Tutoring is available by appointment or drop-in — visit k-state.edu/acc to view the full schedule.

Don't forget to prioritize mental well-being, too. Well-being advisors offer free and non-clinical sessions to help participants identify challenges and create a personalized well-being plan, including practical steps to prioritize daily well-being. Schedule in Navigate or learn more online.

Another way to prioritize well-being is through community, which is a central focus of K-State's Health-Promoting University initiative. Finding time to connect with friends or family can help reduce stress and raise confidence about the weeks to come.

Discover ways to connect with peers on campus through Student Belonging. Stop by the Morris Family Multicultural Student Center — a welcoming space for all students to relax on campus — and explore resources and opportunities for involvement through the Spectrum Center and the First-generation Student Center. If you're graduating this May, don't forget to register for the first-generation graduation celebration, a special ceremony celebrating the success of first-generation students.

Students can also access resources and connect with others in the Military Affiliated Resource Center in Room 222 of the K-State Student Union. The center provides guidance about VA benefits and tuition assistance, and the lounge area and kitchenette make it a great space to meet others.

The Division of Academic Success and Student Affairs provides an impactful and holistic K-State experience by aligning student life resources with academic support programs so students can succeed inside and outside the classroom.
