K-State's Staley School of Leadership Studies offers real-world, hands-on opportunities to practice the kind of leadership employers and our communities need - knowledgeable, ethical, caring, and inclusive - throughout your K-State experience. 

Become A Change Agent

Our innovative classroom experiences and unique programs provide you with the emotional intelligence, interpersonal communication skills, and critical, system-based thinking needed to make change where you work and live. Armed with these skills, you'll have the confidence to influence and innovate. You will be able to address the complex challenges facing our businesses, organizations, and communities, and bring together diverse groups of people to make progress. 

Academic Programs

Leadership Studies Minor
16 Credit Hours | A personal leadership development experience where you will better understand what drives your exercise of leadership, how to energize others to join you with this work, and how to influence positive change on complex, large-scale issues.
Nonprofit Leadership Studies Minor

16 Credit Hours | Prepare yourself for a career in social change through this nonprofit leadership development program. This program is truly unique, offering graduates an opportunity to earn the nationally-recognized Certified Nonprofit Professional credential.

Global Foods System Leadership Secondary Major

24 Credit Hours | Study and exercise leadership on the grand challenges of feeding a growing world population, where you will gain integrated knowledge of the global food system and the leadership capacity to change the system for the common good. 

Other Opportunities

In addition to the minor and secondary major, the Staley School offers several unique programs for you to practice leadership and service. Programs include Academic Mentors, Alternative Breaks, Cargill Fellows, Engineering Leadership and Innovation Program, HandsOn Kansas State, International Service Teams, Snyder Leadership Legacy Fellows, and more.
