IBC Meeting Minutes

Effective June 1, 2025, the NIH is updating and reinforcing its transparency expectations for IBCs under the NIH Guidelines. The following transparency requirements will be implemented:

  • Rosters will list each member by name and role, and include contact information for the IBC Chair, Biological Safety Officer, and general IBC contact.
  • Institutions are expected to post approved minutes from IBC meetings that occur on or after June 1, 2025, on a publicly accessible website.

Minutes of Meetings that occur on or after June 1, 2025 will be posted as soon as possible after IBC approval.
