Animal Sciences and Industry
The Animal Sciences and Industry major prepares students for careers in animal care, production, and related industries. Graduates may pursue veterinary or graduate school or enter fields such as animal health, nutrition, genetics, reproduction, meat science, or dairy processing in industry, education, or government. Agronomy
The Agronomy major prepares students for careers focused on plants, soils, and environmental systems essential to agriculture and natural resource management. Graduates pursue careers in crop production, soil and water conservation, agribusiness, environmental consulting, research, or continue on to graduate or professional school. The curriculum blends applied science and technology with a strong foundation in the physical and biological sciences, emphasizing sustainable agricultural systems critical to Kansas and beyond. Students select one of six program options aligned with their career interests: Business & Industry, Consulting & Production, Plant Science & Biotechnology, Precision Agriculture, Range Management, Soil & Environmental Science.
