Pre-College Checklist

Apply for Admission

If you have not previously taken pre-college courses at K-State, you will need to first create an account and complete the FREE application. You only need to do this once, so if you have already applied, you only need to complete the re-enrollment form, which you will do every semester you take pre-college Courses.

Information you will need to complete the application:

  • Semester you will be taking courses
  • Name of the course or courses you want to take, if known
  • Email of high school official (counselor or principal) to approve your enrollment
    • Your school official will be asked to submit a transcript on your behalf
  • Email of parent or guardian to approve enrollment

eID Creation

Once you are admitted, Create and Verify your eID to gain access to student email, KSIS (KSU Student Information System) and other student systems. You will need your WID (WILDCAT ID) number to verify. Your WID will be automatically created and found in your applicant portal 2-3 business days after being admitted. Use this number when creating your eID.

Placement and Course Requirements

For students taking math courses, you may be asked to take the math placement exam if you do not already have a qualifying ACT/SAT math sub score.

Course placement and other requirements

Enroll

  • Concurrent enrollment students: Meet with your high school counselor to discuss which courses are available to you at your high school. If you are taking courses at your high school, you will be enrolled by a K-State representative.
  • Dual enrollment students: If you are taking a class online or on campus, you will enroll with an advisor. Watch your email for a link to sign up for an enrollment appointment.
  • Students wishing to add, drop, or withdraw from a course should contact their high school counselor, academic advisor, or the Pre-College Office.

How to Pay

  • Once you have enrolled in courses, your tuition and fees will be added to your KSIS account. You can log into KSIS using your eID and password.
  • See the current tuition and fees rates.
  • If you want to give your parent or guardian access to pay your bill, this can be done online by Granting Designed Access in KSIS.
