MHK Pathway Checklist
The checklist and links below will help you stay on task.
MHK Pathway Commitment Form
For students who have applied and been invited to the MHK Pathway, you will need to complete this form in order to opt-in to the program. This will start your MHK Pathway journey.
Establish and Verify your eID
Two business days after you have been admitted to the program, login to your application status page to retrieve your Wildcat ID (located on the Profile tab) to set up your K-State eID. Your eID provides access to many of K-State's systems, including K-State webmail. (Your eID precedes "@k-state.edu" to create your official university email address.) Keep your password safe, never share your password via email and know that no one at K-State will ever ask you for your eID password. Connect with the iTAC Help Desk with questions.
Housing and Dining
One of the benefits of the MHK Pathway program is living in K-State housing and participating in resident hall life. MHK Pathway participants have reserved residence hall options in the Kramer Complex and are not eligible for off-campus or apartment living options their first year. All students living in the residence halls will choose a meal plan providing access to our top-ranked dining services. You will need your established eID to log in.
Financial Aid
Manhattan Tech processes and awards all federal and state financial aid during MHK Pathway students’ first year. You should complete and submit the FAFSA and enter Manhattan Tech’s federal school code: 005500. If you have already submitted your FAFSA to K-State, log in to your submitted FAFSA and add Manhattan Tech’s federal code.
New Student Orientation
A joint, comprehensive orientation program specifically for MHK Pathway students and their families will be held before classes begin. This includes online modules as well as a day on-campus. Look for your invitation to arrive via email and be sure to register. Completion of online orientation modules is required before you can enroll in classes at Manhattan Tech or K-State.
Manhattan Tech Placement Exam & Enrollment Appointment
Meet with your Manhattan Tech advisor to plan your classes for the upcoming semester. Once you have completed the New Student Orientation Modules, you will be emailed links to schedule your course placement exam and advising appointment and at Manhattan Tech.
Academic file completion
Send your final official high school transcripts to Manhattan Tech. If you took college classes or advanced placement exams, send those transcripts and scores as well.
Onboard with student health
With your established eID, log in to your myLafene+ patient portal to upload your insurance card and the required immunizations. State and university policy requires all students to complete the Tuberculosis Screening Questionnaire and submit proof of two Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR) vaccines. If you are living in on-campus housing, you are required to also submit proof of one Meningococcal ACWY booster vaccine.
K-State Enrollment
Once your Manhattan Tech schedule has been established, now it is time to meet with your K-State advisor to enroll in your K-State course. Manhattan Tech will connect you with your K-State advisor via email after your Manhattan Tech advising appointment.
