Financial aid for new students
Student financial assistance has many resources to give you confidence as you complete the FAFSA and apply for K-State or other scholarships. The FAFSA is available October 1. Our priority FAFSA deadline is December 1.
The residence hall application opens in mid-September and the contract opens in early November. Use our housing portal to manage all your room, roommate and meal planning. You will be given details on room/experience selection during the spring semester.
New student orientation
Orientation and enrollment registration opens in early March. Select from dates in April, June or August.
Academic file completion
Send your final official transcripts from every college and university you attended to the office of Admissions. If you took advanced placement exams, send those scores as well.
Onboard with student health
Establish your myLafene account and start your medical records. State and university policy require students to provide details about vaccinations for measles, mumps, rubella, and meningitis if living on campus. We also send a tuberculosis risk survey after enrollment.
