Review the information below and complete the survey
To complete your requirements for reinstatement, please review each of our services below. At the completion of all sections, a letter will be sent to the Dean's office acknowledging that you met requirements. You MUST have your courses already selected before continuing.
1. Tutoring Services
The Academic Achievement Center Tutoring Services is a free tutoring service to all students taking courses at K-State. We tutor in large and small groups to accommodate the need for tutoring. Tutors are students who have succeeded academically in their coursework and have chosen to assist their peers. Trained tutors help facilitate the learning process with their tutees instead of teaching content or providing answers. Tutoring focuses on the success of the learning process as a whole, not just the end result.
We provide tutoring through both drop-in and by appointment.
Drop-In
- On demand help in our most popular courses – Math, Chemistry, Biology, and Physics
- Locations across campus
- Never a need to schedule an appointment ahead of time.
- In-person only
Appointment
- 50-minute small group session
- Wild variety of courses
- Dedicated time set aside
- In-person and Virtual
To learn more about tutoring, find drop-in schedules, see all the courses we cover, and schedule a tutoring session, visit the Tutoring Services page.
2. Academic Coaching
Academic Coaching develops the individual capacity of students by focusing on student success skill development. Students are paired with a professional academic coach who provides an individualized approach to support students’ academic success. Coaches meet with students one-on-one to support them as they identify and reach academic goals, develop study and life skills, overcome challenges, and find motivation and purpose. Coaching is available for all students through the Learning Lab for drop-in or scheduled appointments.
Academic Coaches can help with:
- Navigating online learning
- Connecting to campus resources
- Understanding course expectations
- Academic and time management challenges
- & more!
If tutoring is all about content, then coaching is all about skills.
