Video and Engineering Services

About Video and Engineering Services

Video and Engineering Services (VES) provides full service, broadcast quality audio and video production, and is your point of contact for event/lecture production coordination (live or virtual event capture and/or streaming).

Assistance with ONLINE-ONLY (totally virtual) meetings, webinars and live streaming of virtual events

The Division of Communications and Marketing (DCM) and Division of Information Technology (IT) assist faculty and staff with large online meetings and virtual events. While we recommend using regular Zoom for most virtual meetings, the Division of IT has Zoom webinar licenses available for checkout (supporting up to 500 attendees), provided on a "first come, first served" basis. We can also arrange Zoom to YouTube Live or Facebook Live streaming for large events, allowing your event/conference to reach vastly larger audiences.

NOTE: DCM does not provide conferencing services but will provide technical consultation to help you define your needs with an external vendor, if requested.

To get started with your online event, please complete this virtual event support request form. (For "in-person" events with streaming, please use the "event/lecture capture/streaming request form" below.)

Produced videos

We're visual storytellers, adept at working with you to build your message into a product that meets your goals.

Housed in Dole Hall, VES provides a modern media facility with skilled video producers ready to produce

  • promotional/marketing videos,
  • studio productions and
  • electronic media.

Our professional staff will work with you to turn your ideas into a product you'll be proud to share. For produced promotional/marketing videos (not live events), please submit a produced video request to determine next steps.

Event/lecture capture/streaming (for IN-PERSON or HYBRID events)

If you need to capture and/or live-stream an IN-PERSON or HYBRID event or lecture, please complete our event/lecture capture/streaming request form. We will work with you to determine the appropriate resources for your project and assign the project to the appropriate video production unit for action.

NOTE: DCM does not provide conferencing services but will provide technical consultation to help you define your needs with an external vendor, if requested.

Please note the following for any support request:

  • Please submit your request at least ten working days in advance
  • In-person event venue reservations should provide a minimum of 2 hours for setup and technical checks PRIOR to the start of the event
  • DCM provides services only on K-State campuses - off-campus locations are not supported.

Do not hesitate to contact us at ves@ksu.edu if you have questions.
