Keen instructs peers in HVAC design essentials

Submitted by Mary Rankin

Julia Keen, associate professor of architectural engineering and construction science, presented three days of instruction at the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) HVAC Design Essentials Workshop, Jan. 11-13, in Atlanta.

The workshop provided in-depth, practice-focused training for engineers, architects, facility managers, construction project managers and technicians in the design of high-performance heating, ventilation and air-conditioning systems (HVAC). Instruction centered on how to effectively collaborate on an integrated design team to improve overall building performance. Keen is a Licensed Professional Engineer and an ASHRAE-Certified, High-Performance Building Design Professional.
