2016-2017 Special Events
Our next KSU Social Club event is Thursday, November 10, co-sponsored by the College of Arts & Sciences. We are hosting a "Thirsty Thursday" gathering for faculty (and others who are interested in what's going on in K-State research) to get together and discuss collaborative and interdisciplinary research opportunities. For this event, we are focusing on projects that might be fundable by the National Institutes of Health. Two A&S faculty, Professors Kim Kirkpatrick of Psychological Sciences and Stefan Bossmann of Chemistry, who have successfully led team proposals to NIH, will talk briefly about their experience and offer advice on forming interdisciplinary teams. The rest of the evening will be dedicated to informal discussions about research interests/opportunities.
Join us at Tallgrass Taphouse, 320 Poyntz Ave in the Firkin Event Space from 5:30 - 7:00 pm for an enlightening discussion of collaborative research at K-State. Appetizers will be hosted by A&S Dean's Office.
No RSVP necessary.
