Suicide Awareness 5K Dec. 4

Submitted by Abbey Lincon

The Air Force ROTC program prepares students to become officers in the U.S. Air Force while earning a college degree. AFROTC cadets have an opportunity to become members in an organization called Arnold Air Society through the completion of a candidacy process. The society is a professional, honorary service organization advocating the support of aerospace power.

This year's Arnold Air Society candidacy class will host a 5K for Suicide Awareness at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 4, at Anneberg Sports Complex. The lineup before the race will begin at 12:45 p.m. Parking is available at Anneberg Sports Complex at the north parking lot and along the roads surrounding it. The start line is on the west side of the complex and the race will be run along a paved loop ending near the start.

Water will be provided along the route and at the end of the race. There will be a prize for the runners who finish in first, second and third place. Feel free to come run or walk to help raise awareness for suicide.
