Global Campus professional development applications due March 31

Submitted by Grant Guggisberg

The deadline to submit applications for professional development opportunities through Kansas State University Global Campus is March 31.

Global Campus, in partnership with Kansas State Polytechnic, will offer K-State Online Essentials, a six-week course-preparation experience designed to assist in developing a quality online course. The experience is for K-State faculty members who are currently teaching online courses or who plan to develop an online course this year.

Global Campus also provides faculty with the opportunity to attend professional conferences through a limited number of distance education conference stipends. Conference travel stipends of $1,000 are available for faculty members who are active online instructors or are planning to establish distance courses. Funds are designated to attend a conference centered on online teaching and learning. Conference options have expanded, and Global Campus is also open to considering proposals for other opportunities.

Read more information about both opportunities.

A selection process will take place in April with class participants and conference attendees receiving notification by May 1. Faculty interested in the K-State Online Essentials course or the conference opportunity can find additional information or apply at global.k-state.edu/faculty/resources.
