Safe Zone 360 badge

Safe Zone 360 is developed for future career success in today's diverse workforce. Join Kodee Walls, Safe Zone coordinator, from 2-3:30 p.m. Oct. 24 in Room 206 of the K-State Student Union to discuss diversity and multiculturalism.

The worldwide workforce is more diverse than any other time and no matter what the profession is, there are employers, employees, customers and clients from diverse backgrounds.

Research shows that we learn more from people who are different from us than we do from people who are similar to us. College may be the first time a student begins to interact with people from diverse groups.

Diversity is prominent on K-State campus-with students, faculty, administrators from many races, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, socioeconomic status working together which presents a unique opportunity to enhance one's social development. Safe Zone 360 may be the first place to start navigating your insight.

Safe Zone 360 is designed to sharpen your self-awareness, to enhance your capacity for viewing issues from multiple perspectives, angles and vantage points.

Completion of the training will advance you in getting Safe Zone 360 badge.
