Submitted by Adriana Ortiz Aquino

The K-State chapter of the Society for the Advancement of Chicanos/Hispanics and Native Americans in Science, or SACNAS, a registered departmental student organization, encourages K-Staters to apply to present at the National Diversity in STEM, or NDiSTEM, Conference from Oct. 26-28 in Portland, Oregon.

The conference is the largest multidisciplinary and multicultural STEM diversity event in the country. Undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students can apply for a poster presentation. Graduate students can apply for a poster or oral presentation. Postdoctoral researchers can apply for an oral presentation.

The SACNAS' conference is a gathering which serves to equip, empower and energize participants for their academic and professional paths in STEM.

The deadline to apply is 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time on Friday, March 31.
