Submitted by K-State Police Department

Kansas State University Police Department officers Dominick Andersen and Kurtis Cavender are among 25 law enforcement officers who graduated on Dec. 9 from the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.

Cavender graduated with honors. He also completed 100 miles of running on his own time while attending the Kansas Law Enforcement Training Center.

Andersen and Cavender both excelled academically in their practicals and final exams.

The graduates received certificates attesting to the satisfactory completion of a full-time basic course of instruction, and certification as Kansas law enforcement officers from the Kansas Commission on Peace Officers’ Standards and Training, the state’s law enforcement licensing authority.
