HALO hosting Cambio Para Cambio tamale sale

Submitted by Brenda Resendiz

For Hispanic Heritage Month, the Hispanic American Leadership Organization, or HALO, a registered departmental student organization, has united with the Hispanic Development Fund.

HALO is actively participating in this year's Cambio Para Cambio campaign. Cambio para Cambio, which translates to "Change for Change," takes place during Hispanic Heritage Month and engages Latino high school and college students, businesses and professional organizations in philanthropy benefiting the Hispanic Development Fund Scholarship Program. Every dollar donated during the campaign is matched by generous development fund donors, doubling the giving power and impact of donor gifts.

HALO has decided to sell tamales this year to help contribute. The organization will sell red pork tamales and green chicken tamales. Each order consists of six tamales and is $12.

The order form closes at midnight on Oct. 22.

Our work would not be possible without our community's support!
