Wayne Goins, university distinguished professor of music, published a rare and exclusive interview with legendary guitarist Russell Malone in the May issue of "Jazz Guitar Life," a highly popular online jazz guitar journal that features the most prominent artists in the world.

As the newest contributor to the magazine, Goins tapped Malone as the opening interview in a multi-part series of rare interviews to come to the journal, shining the spotlight on jazz guitarists who have mastered the craft of performing and composing the uniquely American art form. Goins will submit a wide variety of pieces, including exclusive jazz artist profiles, CD reviews, podcast interviews and feature articles related to jazz recordings on vinyl.
