Center on Aging names 2022-2023 Gerontology Student Ambassadors

Submitted by Jessie Lee Piper

The Center on Aging has named four Gerontology Student Ambassadors for the 2022-23 academic year:

  • Anika Roy, junior in nutrition and health and pre-physicians assistant with a secondary major in gerontology, from Shawnee.
  • Emily Farthing, sophomore in integrative physiology and kinesiology with a gerontology minor, from Overland Park.
  • Bailey Ross, junior in communication sciences and disorders with a gerontology minor, from Meade.
  • Trase McQueen, sophomore in biology and pre-medicine with a gerontology minor, from Beloit.

The mission of the Gerontology Student Ambassadors is to promote the program to prospective students and their families, current students, faculty, alumni, donors and the community. Ambassadors engage in a variety of activities that will recruit new students and promote student engagement within the Center on Aging.
