K-State piano studio in recital devoted to Scott Joplin

Students from the K-State Piano Studio will perform piano music by African American ragtime legend Scott Joplin, 1868-1917, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, in Kirmser Hall, 204 McCain Auditorium. 

The repertoire of the concert includes classics such as "The Pineapple Rag," "The Entertainer," "Cleopha," "Solace," "Cascades," "Harmony Club Waltz," "Binks' Waltz," "Bethena Waltz," "Elite Syncopations," "Peacherine Rag," "Maple Leaf Rag," "The Rosebud," "The Non-Pareil" and others.

The concert is free and open to the public.
