NSF fellowship opportunity in food-energy-water research at K-State
Current and prospective graduate students are invited to apply for the Rural Resource Resiliency NSF Research Traineeship, or NRT, at Kansas State University.
The NRT prepares graduate students for interdisciplinary experiences, which combine research, education, policy, peer mentoring and community engagement to solve the grand challenges of creating sustainable food, energy and water systems in rural communities. NSF-sponsored training fellows receive a $34,000 stipend and full tuition — 18 credits — for one year. STEM master's or doctoral students are eligible, and NSF requires U.S. citizenship, green card, or permanent residency to participate with NRT funding. Other students can participate in the NRT as a non-stipend support trainees.
The NRT is now recruiting current or prospective graduate students — master's or doctoral students — in agricultural economics, biological and agricultural engineering, chemical engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or closely related fields to our fourth cohort to start in August 2022.
